No, that was all the gold they took from Skypeia that they had exchanged into cash. Remember the Skypieans were gonna give them way more like the giant column of the bell, but they thought it was canon they were gonna use on them so they ran. The gold they got is what they found in the sleeping blue giant snake. This arc always makes me sad at this part. As you guys already know what’s coming.

I have 2 emotions right now. YAY I'm all caught up! and AWW I'm all caught up! I just want to say you guys should just enjoy the next episodes and the rest of the arc. This arc and the next one blend extremely well together so you have a long long time to get to experience everything and it feels like you're putting a lot of tension on yourselves extremely early on, please pace yourselves a bit. <3 u guys. Also, I want to recommend Beelzebub for a lighthearted and less mentally/emotionally taxing anime that you won't feel rushed to finish. Jason would love the fights and Heather would love the humor.

I love how at every point in these episodes where it came up, Nami basically said "fuck the money". She's obsessed with money and riches but is shown here very clearly that she'll put that aside for her crew. These moments are never a focus in the show but they're subtle and they're there. Similar with Usopp, over the last few 50 or so episodes, he has made a few comments here and there that hint at his insecurity on the crew for being weaker than the others. It's not something you pay attention to on the first watch, but on rewatch you'll definitely notice that building up in the background

One Thing you missed is Luffy ran off without knowing were he was going. Nami asked for Directions to Franky's Hideout after Luffy ran off. Then when Nami found Usopp, she told him were Franky's hideout was, which was why Usopp knew were to go.

Love all your theories…it reminds me of when my brothers and I used to exchange ideas/theories while watching Water 7 arc 19 years ago now (we are still doing it for the current arcs ahahah…and of course we never got one right :-) Things are getting dark, but also so much more intriguing. This saga will show you more of how this world is complicated and full of layers.

I don't know if someone mentioned it to you guys but since the start, there's a character hiding in crowds, his name is Pandaman, and Oda puts him in random places. you will see him using a mask of panda, so pay close attention in every arc he appears... (and no, he is not a important character, is more like a where is walter game hehe)
