ONE PIECE ep. 255/256 | The ROCKETMAN is OFF

This is what happens when you watch different translator and begin to recognize a few words. I just began to choose what I personally thought worked better. I chose O-san as ["not disrespectful Mr."] old man, and oya-ji as a rougher pop's as in father and not old man. Rougher as in the speaker being a "rough" person or a not rough person wanting to call their father by a more grating term in the context of them saying it sounds like a not insult. But even if I learned the entire language tomorrow, I don't think I would correct my context of what few words I "learned". As I chose the "translations" I liked the best, based on the context of the situations I most commonly saw them in. So, it would be hard to correct myself, and harm my enjoyment as when watch different translators I have "corrected" it in my mind for more enjoyment.

Nami is an old soul..i think i like Nami more than Robin coz I can relate with her more as far as being mature at such a young age..or having to mature early and not being able to enjoy childhood.. also Nami is just such a powerful character just as much as Robin is so I think its not fair to poll them against each other..honestly ahaha and if there's someone who knows Luffy to the core, it's Nami, hence the food and sake for Zoro. She knows how to utilize her crewmates to their full potential lol

old man is usually used to refer to someone as pops..its just easier to say ice pops than ice old man..ice pops flows better

Instead of Ice pops a translation I like better would Ice old man. I think Pops is interchangeable but it doesn't work with this part. It's also part of that child like nature Luffy has. He'll call it like it is regardless of how unflattering it is, he is certain amount of years older than Luffy so he's Ice old man.

I think for me this arc is where I really started to get crazily obsessed with One Piece, not going to hype anything up or spoil things, but this arc put me through a mix of emotions and I cannot wait to see your initial reactions to the coming episodes!

Luffy is like a child that always calls shotgun. He loves to be all the way to the front, that's why the head of the Merry is his seat, if you guys go back to the first few episodes you can even see he sits on top of a very thin plank on the front of the boat they got from Buggy.

Check out BullAirs GumGum shoes. Vans also has One Piece shoes but I didn't really care for how they turned out. The Pumas are really nice but Luffy's are massive spoiler.
