Like a lot of AoT, it's meant to be jarring, but they didn't just do it for the shock value. I wanna talk about that scene more, but I feel like anything I say will spoil it. So I'll just say it'll make more sense when you watch the next few episodes. Also, if you're looking for some more anime to react to, I'd recommend "Dr. Stone". It's not as action oriented, but it's a great sci-fi show with an overarching mystery that gets unraveled bit by bit. It's also educational, and really funny.

I only just recently joined your Patreon cuz I've been enjoying your One Piece reactions, but I was not expecting you guys to react to Full Metal Alchemist! One Piece is my favorite anime of all time, but Full Metal Alchemist has to be a close second. Hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna go on a bit of a tangent lol. So I'm 26, and I first watched Full Metal Alchemist when I was maybe 10? It's not nearly as long of a story as One Piece, but not every show needs to be 1100+ episodes lol. Still, it was one of the first anime I ever watched. Even though it's not my favorite, it holds a special place in my heart. I watched the majority of the original show with my two brothers, and brotherhood is (obviously) a huge part of FMA. Also, I first found One Piece when I was 13. I stumbled onto the first 10 volumes of the manga in my school's library, and after I read the last one they had, I immediately went to find the anime. I've been hooked ever since! These two shows were incredibly formative for me, and I couldn't be happier to watch you two go on these journeys, both in One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist. Side note: you absolutely don't have to watch Full Metal Alchemist in Dub, you can do whichever you prefer, but I'd recommend trying the Dub out for a bit. Maybe rewatching an episode just to see what you think. It's actually one of the best English Dubs I know of. Plus, there's a blooper reel out there of the English voice actors messing up and goofing around, and it's really funny.

It gave me the HBO game of thrones ending feeling again and I felt burned but that's life and I hope One Piece ends on a much better note one day.

Although thematically darker than OP, overall it has a nice balance of everything like OP. Absolutely adore the younger brother, Alphonse Elric!!🥹 His character development is superb!

Read the manga to the end and walked away from the ending in disgust but that's my opinion and I'm sure others loved it and you guys probably will too but not me. With Brotherhood the objective was to adapt what the ‘03 version didn’t and in doing so they kinda rush the beginning and it really shows…brotherhood is cool and all but it’s not flawless same with ‘03 they both have pros and cons I think both versions are great especially with the English Dub.

The more anime you watch the more voices you'll recognize. Japanese voice actors are pretty popular in Japan, so they tend to cast popular ones to get fans to watch the series even more.
