New show ! I knew I wanted to try it because I love that kind of universe, to learn their rules and to see big and promising stories. But, like always, the first episode is rough : a lot of names to remember, things that I don't understand at all about how this society is working, why people can react like that or that… Like, you're afraid of these women, so much that you can't see here that Moiraine protected you and saved Rand's dad ?
For this Reborn Dragon, boy or girl, who can choose light or darkness, but also can save the world that the First Dragon destroyed… I don't know. The easiest response would be Egwene but we have also Rand who is definitely a Frodo who just wants to live a happy life at home, Mat with a background who can make him maybe be tempted by the dark side, and also Perrin who just killed his own wife because he was in a state of rage.

Hello ! I have the same position here : I didn't read the books, I just want to watch and love the show for itself, but I I know how bad adaptations can be (His dark materials, the movie) but also how amazing it can be (his dark materials, the show), so I hope that fans of the books would have what they were waiting for since so long with this show. For the comments I had, it seems that they appreciated it a lot. A few fans are loudly against it, but for reasons I can't agree with, not related to the books, but to the casting, it's diversity and the fact that women are a lot present and powerful. I will never agree with reasons like that.

I have no book knowledge on this one except those many attempts fans would try and draw me into it. Hard-core fanbase so i hope the show does it justice for them and my allegiance will surely follow.
