After the end of the last season, I was such in a good mood to begin this new one, I felt so proud of my airbenders and Jinora, and I imagined so many emotional reunions. The writers totally ruined my mood : so the entire season is gonna be about restoring peace in the Earth Kingdom and Ba Sing Se ? I want that since ATLA, so I'm glad, but to see new bad things happening here during an entire season ? No.
And right now, the only options are a future dictator who is conquering states by offering them protection by taking advantage of the fact that they are desperate and hungry, OR a future stupid King who doesn't know anything about his nation or the preoccupations of his people, and doesn't care about it ? We already had them both, and it was bad. I'm desperate. Just count how many times I rolled my eyes.

I’ve never seen you lose hope so fast. Don’t you know it’s my job to be the pessimist around these parts 😂? But I’m gonna guess and say your spirits were lifted after this episode, right 😏? At least for a little bit A rock and a hard place might be the equivalent phrase. I’ve also heard the devil and the deep blue sea, but I think that’s outdated.
