Hello !
I didn't cry during the last episode when these three died because I was too in shock and focused on the story, the Female Titan and all. And I almost told you I was sorry about it in review. I shouldn't have, I didn't know that this entire episode would be about the deads. What it means to die outside because of the Titans, the fact that you can't bring all of the dead bodies to their loved ones, and it's rough.
The comparison with the scene when Eren and Mikasa were kids, and welcomed back the Recon Corps, was perfect. Now, they are the soldiers, the ones who lost their friends and who know they failed with their mission, they have to face people disappointed, angry but also the kids full of hope and telling you that it's logical to lose people and that you represent hope for them, still now. It's awful. I cried. And a lot because of Levi's actions. That's it, I knew I loved his character but if he can make me cry like that, it's clearly beginning to be my favorite one.

2021-12-31 09:09:11 +0000 UTCOh. It seems you misunderstood the depth of Levi's actions. The recon patch that he took from the dead and gave to Dieter did not belong to Ivan; it belonged to Petra. We don't know if he wanted to keep it for himself or give it to her father, but he sacrificed it just so that Dieter had something to keep for himself. Or maybe so that Dieter doesn't do something stupid again.
