Hello !
What an episode ! I was really not expecting that we could learn all of these stuffs in just one episode ! Because of Aang and Zuko's flashbacks, we learnt why Aang was into that storm and why Zuko was banished. The two of them had still unfinished businesses with that, Aang feeling guilty about running away and his disappearing, and Zuko feeling guilty (yes, for him it was that) about going against his father (by wanting to protect the young soldiers and not fighting him). And they dealt with it during this episode, confronting their demons.
The parallel between them fighting their pasts and guiltnesses was really interesting. And I was so excited to finally have these answers. Especially about Zuko because it's changing my theories about how he can evolve : he was not banished because he did something wrong against the Fire Nation, on the contrary, he wanted to be a good ruler, to protect his people.

Oooh no, I didn't think about it but you're right. I think that the hope theme is interesting now that you mention it, and they can do a lot of things with it. Like they are doing with destiny. Thanks for mentioning it, it gave me stuff to think about ๐

2021-03-02 09:49:38 +0000 UTCI haven't watched your video yet so maybe you addressed it, but one of the parallels I loved is when Katara tells Aang that he "gives people hope", and Iroh also says that "the avatar gives Zuko hope". I thought it was interesting that the Avatar gives hope even to his enemies :-)
