The writers really mastered these two first episodes because through them, they are making us big promises for the show : to have action and intense scenes with the games, and a big story about who is behind it ; and to have characters with a deep story. It was so good to discover all of their background, why they accepted the game first but also why they're going back (except for the grandpa, and yes I didn't give up on my theory about him). At first, it was for financial reasons, and now we understand that it's also for fighting for their families.
And yes, because of that I had my first tears during this episode. Which is a good sign, I'm getting attached to the characters, but also a bad one : how I'm gonna end this season ? Because for sure, some of them are gonna die. But by showing us their families, now I want all of them to stay alive, to win the prize. It's bad.

Hello ! Yes, I saw it myself that is has been a long time that I was not that excited to discover an whole new show with its own rules and I love so much mind games shows/movies ! I'm trying my best to learn how to pronounce their names but I say sorry also each time because I can feel I'm not good at all at it, but just calling them "the girl" or stuff like that, it's dehumanizing them and I don't want that. Because yes, this second episode was the perfect thing to do after a first episode to tease us about the games, this one is here for us to get attached to the characters, to know their backgrounds and their reasons to come back into the game. And like I said here, it's kinda bad because now, I want all of them to survive and win 🙈

2021-10-01 12:13:29 +0000 UTC1) if you haven't googled it yet or have been informed, 1M won is about 70K euros. 2) haven't seen you this excited before. it's kinda nice. nothing bad about it at all. 3) i honestly also struggle with the pronunciation of Korean names. that's just really how it is sometimes. 4) I honestly love this episode. It really succeeded in letting the viewers know what the stakes are for each of them and really make you feel *SO MUCH* for each of them. Makes you sympathize with everyone. Well, everyone except the violent gangster who we are now very wary of. 5) Excited to see more. :)
