I really didn't believe that Vaatu wanted to merge with Unalaq, and in fact it happened, the Dark Avatar is big, strong and terrifying. I really believed that the twins could not switch but at least could not intervene, and in fact they released Mako and Bolin because of true feelings ? I really believed that Raava and Vaatu had to be out of humans to fight and also to restore the true balance in the world, and I was right but Vaatu managed to kill Raava and to eliminate all memories of the past lives ? NO, NO, IT CAN'T BE, I WON'T ACCEPT IT.
You can see that at the end of this episode, I was confused and mad. For me, Raava is not "dead", she's a spirit and if Vaatu exists, she is also somewhere, it's the balance of the world, darkness can't exist without light. But the past lives ? No, never, it can't be, they didn't disappear, never.

This episode felt like such a slap in the face. All those past lives, 10,000 of them…just gone 😞

2021-10-12 15:01:39 +0000 UTCI might comment more on the next episode, but Korra watching helplessly as Unavaatu destroys Raava and the essence of the past Avatars is quite shocking and I admire the writers guts in showing Aang's spirit being destroyed.
