The Struggles Of Storytelling Through TG-TF

With Magical Girl Transformation, I wanted to keep things simple and make a product that could be easily enjoyed... and yet, I still couldn't help wanting to insert something different. I'm not really original, not by a long shot, but I wanted to try something you don't necessarily see often. I took a trans character based on myself, that was already living and presenting as a girl, and magically gave them that wish fulfillment we all so much desire. To suddenly find ourselves in the body that we all want...
But then, I had Rei reject it, and even scold the Witch for assuming that she was presenting as a girl for perverted reasons. But even still, it really would be tough for many of us to reject such a magical change, right? Even as I wrote the story about my own OC, I questioned such a twist. But thinking about it more and more, I feel it was justified, to have Rei reject what the Witch had done. As a transgender girl, I have fought to understand and accept myself... coming to terms with my gender dysphoria has been a living hell. But to have myself forcefully changed, under the wrong pretenses, I feel that I would want to return to my male body.
So, I found myself with a story that might strike people in different ways. I hope that, you all can see and understand Rei's point of view. Whether it was simply that, she was given the body of a girl through the wrong circumstances, or even if she was not emotionally prepared for it... sometimes maybe the magical solution, isn't the best.
