June, D-Day --DOWNLOAD LINKS--

Dear Patrons,

Here are the downloads for Vanguard patrons signed up in June.

Please note that the links will be live until midday on the last day of the month. It will then be removed for a period of a few days before a new link (valid until the end of the following month) is issued by private message to qualifying patrons. If you are joining the Patreon on the last day of the month, do not worry - you will get a new link soon!

Download links are provided via Sync and MyAirBridge, they contain the same files.

Supported files (recommended):

---Removed, will be sent to eligible patrons after end of month.---

Un-Supported files (Exactly the same files but without the pre supports. As our single shell supports can be very easily removed if required, we recommend most Patrons don't need this second download)

---Removed, will be sent to eligible patrons---

We hope you like this month's content, please let us know asap if you find any issues or problems with the files!

Thanks for your continued support of our project!

Team Anvil

Rik: Within 5 minutes of posting my comment the sheer absurdity of griping about historical accuracy of a miniatures set containing three different shields(!) for Major America who stormed Omaha Beach with the USMC dawned on me. But, what the hell, I said it and I'll own it.

Joe Mansfield

@Joe if you don't want to think of them as Marines, then they could sub as US Rangers....which did land in Normandy, and the kit looks similar enough...

There were a few occasions in the Pacific where the 1919 was modified to be fired as a hand held. Certainly not common but it did happen (and was badass). not so great for accuracy but for suppressive fire it was good enough.

If you mean the M1919, It's based on the "stinger" field modification, a real world weapon which was only used in the Pacific (We just sculpted it because it looks good and goes with the theme)

We just take inspiration from historical reference imagery, we are never aiming to make historically accurate miniatures - plenty of games and companies have that more than covered!

2. What's up with the rifle grip on the 30 cal?? It's inaccurate and it would be dog squat to fire on full auto. Is there a shell with a pistol grip option? Generally I'm VERY happy with how Anvil models firearms and this miss is rather surprising.

Joe Mansfield

1. The US Marines didn't land at Normandy. There were no Marines in the ETO at all AFAIK. The US Army fought in the Pacific as well since there weren't enough Marines to cover that theatre let alone spare personnel to contribute to the D-Day landings.

There are a couple things that strike me as a bit odd though:

I'm obviously fairly late to the party but, on the whole, great job on the June STL release. I love that General Patton model especially!

Joe Mansfield

I just had my shoulder fixed so I have no idea when I'm going to print these but they just got bumped up to the head of my print queue.

shane barker

I am afraid not, sorry. We are working on the next months content now. If you wanted to replace the gun it would be a reasonably easy digital hack, but it depends which weapon you wanted to use.

joel pitt

Any chance we could get a multi shell version of the Thompson SMG arms please?

Joe Harter

Glad you like them! Last months walls are not thick enough to hollow except at the very bottom, and the % resin saved would not be enough to justify the higher risk of failed prints. We are constantly learning and improving though so we might have a better solution for similar items in future. Regretfully we are hard pushed getting next months content ready, revisiting prior content is not possible with current staffing levels/

joel pitt

Loving the hollowed bunker walls with this batch, Is there any chance the barrier walls from last month could get the same treatment?

Darren Forbes

We released something similar as our first Patreon month's offering. You can get it on our website at a discount if you're a Vanguard level patron; https://anvilindustry.co.uk/digital-armoured-trencher-bundle

Daniel

Is there a chance for a force like this, in a German-style?

I think they produce them in resin: https://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/m1-garand

Odd question I guess, but do you have any rifles, like the M1 Garand caliber 30-06 semi-automatic rifle for the DDay soldiers??
