The Crunchyroll subs had a big translation mistake at 4:03 and the next few seconds. The subs should be something like this: "That tea you drank? It acted on your Sloth Witch Factor and strengthened your resistance." There was no Envy Witch Factor mentioned, and Echidna doesn't have it (she's the Witch of Greed, after all), so the current bad subs that say "I used the Envy Witch Factor on it to strengthen your resistance" make zero sense. Rewatching the scene with these proper subs the flow makes a bit more sense, with Subaru questioning what she meant by that and her talking about the Sloth Witch Factor choosing him as the new host.
