2020-08-22 10:52:52 +0000 UTC*FIRST COMMENT CONTINUED* Even tho what I would be giving examples about the anime has already gone past that point thats literally how much content the anime skipped over. The second reason is everything is told and explained a million times better, while watching your reactions you had so many questions and I thought to myself"I never thought this at all" so I re read ToG and noticed that the anime basically ruined the story of ToG by skipping so much information which leads to confusion. Yes there is still supposed to be a lot of questions in any good story and there is in ToG but the anime left so much unanswered that should've have been answered in the first season. At first I just thought that it makes sense that they would skip things if they are trying to get a total of 80 chapters in 13 episodes but I started to closely compare the manwha and anime, its astounding how much info was skipped through especially really important parts that they could have added in the anime rather than some other scenes but again i can't give any examples cuz i feel like i would be spoiling. I like ToG because its kinda like One Piece, its good because its story driven, has such fleshed out characters they seem real, and a massive world filled with a ton of interesting things, the ToG anime really didn't show that at all sure it was good but it could have been so much better. Its still a good anime and all that but with a better adaptation it would have been great. If a second season ever comes out you should try reading the manwha first( if you ever have the time) and i know a lot of people would want to see the reaction towards the anime but I think you would enjoy it more if you give the manwha a chance and I think the reactors enjoyment is really important after all. Anyways you do what you want and i love all your content either way so whatever.

2020-08-22 10:50:27 +0000 UTCI haven'y joined the discord yet so i dont really know if this was mentioned but ToG manwha is a lot different than the anime for 2 reasons mostly: First they skipped a ton of stuff which leaves characters heavily undeveloped and therefore anime only watchers will have a very different view of these characters and there would be no base for discussion since readers know DIFFERENT things than watchers(regardless if readers are ahead in the anime) because in the manwha the characters are a lot more fleshed out and opinions on these characters will differ than how they are shown in the anime, in a way it's almost as if the character is just rewritten in the anime and made so much worse. I would like to give examples but i feel like i would be spoiling

I don't think anyone who knows Luffy's character would really thing he ascribes/would ascribe to a political philosophy (which is what I believe Libertarianism is, if I'm not mistaken).

In my opinion, Luffy does agree with personal freedom, but he's not a libertarian, because he wouldn't agree with unregulated corporate greed. EDIT: Mostly because he wouldn't understand, but he'd see that something wrong is happening.
