A palace for gods & kings — but what is the difference between the two? Surely, the Emperor has as much sway over you as a god does.
Meet your realm’s divine ruler. This throne room is fit for a bloody fight. Balconies for assassins, a raised dias for the heavens’ son, and more. Bizarre throne-room variants provide similarly outlandish chambers inside which you may find demons, gods, kings, or aberrations.
Thoughts
Knock the hanging braziers down to spill oil all over the floor. Smash the lanterns on the side walls to ignite the carpet.
I kept imagining a fire-bending king like Ozai, which is why the braziers exist at all. The map name is a coincidence, though, I promise.
If you count the steps, you’d note the balconies are lower than the upper reaches of the royal dais. Nobody can or should be higher than the Son of Heaven, and none may approach him upon the throne — emphasize the distance & height at which he sits.

Phoenix King’s Throne Room: A jade-floored palace throne room fit for a god.
Solar Throne Room: Oh, did I say the last one was fit for a god? Well, this one’s got the Sun itself backing it up. And the starry void of space surrounding it.
Lava Throne: Is this hell? Fire elementals? A really tacky dragon’s lair? Or the castle of a giant spiky turtle?
Void Throne: I feel like you should put some teleporting alien guards in here, for some reason. Tall, lanky, gaze-averse midnight-black creatures.
Water Throne: There’s this old myth about an island out in the sea where all mortal pleasures may be fulfilled.
Dwarf Throne Room: This is going in the Book of Good Maps.
Dwarf Throne Room Vacant: How long has it been since someone set foot in this chamber?
Day/Night Variants: Wherever applicable!

Packaging Notes
I have swapped to packaging WEBP, PDF, and Foundry modules in separate archives! You can now download each package individually. I have changed the download UI on the website to accommodate this. It currently only affects this map, but I hope to find the time to convert the archives too.
Also, if you're wondering why it's been quiet this month so far, it's because I was trying to coordinate a move to Foundry's content system for the modules; however, Foundry's team has been so slow to communicate that I'm holding off on it for now, and we'll continue to release independently. Some more releases to come in the next week or two-ish to compensate!
