2021-12-22 00:40:51 +0000 UTCThe door scene was slightly changed in the anime. In the manga, everything happened before the door closed, and it never opened again. Apparently, Arakawa herself praised this change. It definitely makes the scene more emotional. I've been unable to find a reliable source, though, so take it with a grain of salt.
