The first time they played this scene in Luffy, Sabo and Ace backstory I thought it was the classic "I want to be the pirate king". But there would be no need to cut the scene every time and it would make no sense for others to laugh at this phrase since he always says it. Roger is also unlikely to have said this as the title of "Pirate King" was given to him after he reached laughtale, so it is unlikely that it was his dream. Whitebeard says it's a child's dream. What do you think?

2022-08-11 21:38:20 +0000 UTCWhen the Oden Flashback ended, (Episode 975/Chapter 973) everybody thought, that Chapter 1000 will be animated at episode 1000, because it would have fit so perfectly. At the end they dragged it out until Episode 1015 :'D Thats why the Part after the Oden Flashback is sooooo Damn Boring.. I thought I could watch it with you, since I skipped it when it was released weekly. And even though you are by far my favourite reactor, I still skipped almost all.. It was just to boring/dragged out.. xD

I don’t think you understand how art works and what an opinion is. People have different tastes. 2022-08-11 13:14:39 +0000 UTCNot sure if you noticed, but starting at minute 21 (in the reaction), during the first half of that pseudo-recap scene before the Red Roc, you can see everything as it happened, but through Luffy's eyes. I think that was a brilliant choice on the anime, to showcase that Luffy understood and was fully aware of all that was going on, and he's remembering it the way *he* saw it (not how it was shown to *you*) just before giving Kaido a piece of his mind.

2022-08-11 06:29:05 +0000 UTCAlso episode 1015 took around 6 months to make is what I heard, episode 1017 was worked on by multiple animators, and some animators only worked on one specific scene out of the whole episode. For example each captain transformation had a different animator. Which is kind of cool, like a colony of ants each one played a different role to complete the episode no matter how small the part.

Just thinking about how proud Oda must've felt while watching the story he has been working on for 20 years get adapted like that makes me a little bit emotional lol I hope every person that worked on that episode realize how much everyone liked it

2022-08-11 02:19:23 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you've been told, but one piece is currently in a mini filler arc to promote the latest movie starting from episode 1029. So maybe this information would help you decide whether to stick to 6 episodes or not? There are certain episodes that also compliment each other when watched together but i'm not sure if you like knowing that information beforehand so I won't mention it or atleast i'm sure your mods would let you know.
