It's about the journey, not the destination. Just because Cap and Miss Match get together in the end doesn't mean that they immediately have a perfect relationship from day one. Think of it less like Ross/Rachel and more like "How I Met Your Mother". We know who ends up together in the end, but the fun part is watching how they get there.
