September Report

Thank you all for the patience in waiting for this update! I wanted to make sure the PDF version of Ivy & Pine could be in the dropbox rewards and it always takes longer than I expect.
Here's the recap for this month: 

I caught some serious autumn vibes after going on a short camping trip and it's really fueled my need to draw trees losing their leaves.

I feel like I did a lot less sketching this month over last month, but  that's probably just because there were more larger tasks, like cover art occupying my time. I've been really inspired by watching Ranma 1/2 and it makes me want to draw more simplistic, stylized bodies.

Cover art-- this was the big time sink. Painted illustrations just take more time and this one was no exception. ALTHOUGH it's unique from other covers because I did it all (except for the text and design stuff) in CSP, so I have a full timelapse of the process in this month's dropbox rewards.

Putting together a complete PDF version of Ivy & Pine is of course also always more time consuming than I expect and requires digging through all my drawings of them over the past months so I can compile a bunch of sketch pages for the final version. This one ended up having 12 pages of process content including 7 pages of character sketches. I drew these ladies a lot.

Earlier in the month I got some fanart in, though still not as much as I would have liked. I'm planning a Bayonetta piece as we speak though.

The final thing I was working on, which isn't totally ready yet, is the print version of Ivy & Pine. Still some kinks to work out, but I've made a test print and it's working okay!

Thank you all so much for supporting my work! I'm excited to actually take a little break from big comic projects to do more fanart for a minute, or maybe more of those mini comics, I mean it this time, I'm going to make SIMPLE things. 😂(famous last words)
