Just in case you guys haven't read already, the ultimate irony of those nobles is the fact on how in the novel Ainz was considering altering the plans to spare more of the kingdom all because he began to respect the Prince heavily. Unfortunately seeing their blatant betrayal and murder of the person he just got to know and respect enraged him enough to stop reconsidering. Of course he was still likely to go through with the destruction anyways because if he didn't then he'd be known as a being who's easily swayed, but it's just a fun fact to know.
