I finally watched the Netflix series and came and watched your reaction. So, the source comic and the movie (though with changes) tell the original timeline that Old Scott comes from. They briefly touch on what happened in the VR anniversary video. This is an AU based on what would have happened if, like we saw, Old Scott decided to intervene. The movie is worth watching and even has an alternate ending where he doesn't end up with Ramona. All the main actors from the movie came back to voice their animated versions, which was awesome! Hope to see the reaction some day!
