I mean, I assume the Queen is the one who pays them, since they were prolly the generic Royal Guards or w/e, and those are generally full-time employees for the kingdom, usually. I See no reason why they would leave her, since the roads can't be that dangerous, if she wasn't napped when she was left behind, no? Would be insanity to be branded a traitor for leaving the future Queen to potentially die in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't risk it, if I have nothing to gain by leaving her anyway.
