In the book, Ariel does try to talk to kumoko though we don't learn what she said till later since Kumoko doesn't speak the language but she refers to herself as Grandmother as she is Mother's mother and is ROYALLY PISSED OFF at what Kumoko is doing to Mother.

2022-08-13 04:45:35 +0000 UTCJust cuz you are immortal, doesn't mean you can't be damaged. For damage-negation, you need Invulnerability too obviously. This reminded me of one of those series where they can torture an Immortal 24/7, since they literally can't die from any of the damage inflicted, ever. So you can use some REALLY EXTREME torture methods, too, over and over again.
