Gowther was fucked the moment he decided to leave, because it would obviously trigger his Commandment of SELFLESSNESS, since he did something selfish (i.e prioritizing his own goals over anyone else's, in this case the Demon King's/10 Commandments/Demon Clan as a collective, so it's literally the most restrictive of Commandments, based on its name alone)
