usually for most i-dle albums, songs made by different members have their own personal sound while also working in union to have the album tell a story. the overall theme of ‘We Are’ is about the general concept of love, heartbreak, and becoming stronger. the theme isn’t something solid throughout the album but i think the reason why is because they valued each members individually a lot more during this album. this is their 1st album where ALL members had a part in their own song.

2025-06-22 22:47:03 +0000 UTCI think whether the song was in English is related to the member who produced it. Minnie and Yuqi usually write lyrics in English first. Sometimes you can hear their guide was in English and then the lyrics was changed into Korean (mostly by Soyeon). Soyeon and Miyeon prefer to write in Korean. Shuhua firstly participate in writing lyrics in this EP, and I'm surprised she wrote in Korean as a foreign member. Also, I suggest you check out the HEAT ep, which is their first English EP, and the first EP that no member was involved in production. It is interesting to see how they perform songs produced by others.
