Miss Match isn't about to let her spiral without a fight β and what follows is a heartfelt exchange that dives deep into self-worth, doubt, and what it means to walk away from something good.
This scene was a joy (and a challenge) to write, and Iβm excited to share it with you all before it hits the main site. I hope you enjoy seeing these characters open up in a rare, quiet moment of vulnerability.

Panel 2: Lightning Lady: Angus is a wonderful man.β¨Lightning Lady: He deserves someone like her.
Panel 3: Miss Match (yelling): YOU ARE SOMEONE LIKE HER!β¨Lightning Lady: You know what I meanβ¦
Panel 4: Lightning Lady (crying): Sheβs everything thatβs good about meβwithout the baggage.
Panel 5: Miss Match: If she was everything good about youβ¦β¨Miss Match (continued, off-panel): β¦she would be the one walking awayβ¦

2025-04-09 20:01:04 +0000 UTCPath 1: Both Lightning Ladies fight over Angus and Lightning Lady Prime wins. Complications arise when Lightning Lady Alt joins Justice Ltd with a chip on her shoulder against her duplicate for stealing "her man". Path 2: Lightning Lady Prime finds a portal way to return Alt Lightning Lady to her home dimension (and home Angus). Angus is upset that Lightning Lady went behind his back to split them up and the trust is broken. Complications arise when Karakanos uses the portal method as some foreshadowed way of eventually getting home. Path 3: Lightning Lady Prime acknowledges that her feelings for Angus are essentially on the rebound, and she's still hung up on Flashback. Lightning Lady has Mixtape go graverobber on Flashback/Evil Atom's grave to duplicate his powers, so that Mixtape can re-play the Flashback powers and jump into previous lives of Flashback (including the Flashback she knows and is in love with). Complications arise when the ghost of Evil Atom possesses Mixtape's body to bring back Fairmount City's greatest villain.
