What a beautiful concept. The Shawols that night must have been so happy to experience such a deep, unique performance from such a one-of-a-kind artist.

So excited to see this, thank you!! Jonghyun is such an amazing and special artist, it must have been so cool for shawols to see him in a close intimate setting like this! These songs are all from Story Op 1, a solo album released in 2015, based on his and the experiences of his listeners of his radio show Blue Night, he would write and play them and then they were officially released. Story Op 1 has become one of my favourite albums over time, to me the lyrics and themes are so real and open and also as time goes on and life changes the way I interpret and relate to the songs changes too, it's like an album that can grow with you. It's a very comforting album. And Jjong's vocals on it are so incredible and so full of character. I'm Sorry is one of my favourite songs on it partially because of this live performance, it's just captivating. The people on screen before End of a Day (another absolute favourite) are from the MV, it's a really lovely watch paired with the song and the lyrics. Seeing Onew must have been so exciting and fun!! Happy for you! (and very jealous haha) Fun fact: As well as the Skeleton Flower novel, Jjong talked about how he was also writing a thriller novel, it wasn't published but interesting to imagine!

So happy to hear you had an amazing time at Onew’s concert! I had a similar experience when I attended a SHINee concert in Japan for the first time back in 2018. An older lady was giving little gift bags to everyone sitting nearby — it was so sweet. I’ve already watched a full recording of Live Percent in Madrid, and it really looked like a great show. His outfit and the whole look for the night were also very cool. Really looking forward to your vlog and behind-the-scenes content, hehe! By the way, I think you only recognized about three songs from the setlist, since he performed only one b-side from Circle (“No Parachute”), plus “Winner” and “Animals.” The rest would have been new to you, so I’m curious to hear your thoughts on them. Personally, I thought the setlist was really good — full of bangers from Dice, Flow, Connection, and Percent. Maybe another Onew album reaction soon? Percent is definitely my recommendation, and almost half of the setlist is from that album.

Thank you for this reaction, guys! Yes, The Agit was a concert series by SM held in the SMTown Theatre from 2015 to 2019. It started with Jonghyun (the Story concert tour was the very first one, and he later had another called The Letter in 2017) and ended with Key (his first Key Land tour for his debut album Face). Other artists like SNSD’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, as well as Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung, also had their Agit concerts, though there weren’t that many overall. Its smaller venues created a more intimate connection between the artists and the fans. Jonghyun had the most shows out of all the Agit performers: 17 shows for The Story and 20 for The Letter. Yes, all four songs you saw here are from his Story Op. 1 album, which this concert tour was associated with (while The Letter was linked to Story Op. 2). It’s a compilation album series, all self-written and primarily self-composed (together with his composer friend group Wefreaky). Many of the lyrics were based on stories listeners sent to Jonghyun’s radio show Blue Night over the years. It’s a very unique and wholesome concept that I don’t think anyone but Jonghyun has ever done. He also compiled these stories, along with his lyrics and poetry, into the novel Skeleton Flower: Things That Have Been Released and Set Free, which he showed here. Jonghyun once said he wanted to be a songwriter/lyricist first, but chose the idol path because he felt it would open more possibilities. He was also deeply interested in writing and had wanted to publish more books. He had other concert tours as well, but none of them were officially released in digital or DVD format (though there are plenty of fancams — for example, the Playboy performance you watched during the Jonghyun deep dive was also from The Story tour). These performances were just a few that SM livestreamed on the now-discontinued V Live platform, along with a behind-the-scenes clip that you saw at the end. Fans later combined all of these into the single video you watched. The wet, grainy filter on that one performance was intentional. The song is about the Skeleton Flower (Diphylleia grayi), which turns transparent when wet from rain — and the screen graphics reflected that. End of a Day is one of Jonghyun’s most famous songs, written to comfort loved ones after a long, tiring day. He said it was inspired by his puppy, Roo. I don’t think you’ve reacted to it before — maybe just heard a snippet in a guide. It even has a music video you can watch, and that little VCR clip with the two people was from the MV! End of a Day has also been widely covered as a tribute by many artists in the K-pop industry.
