I'm pretty sure that first one about the future is a "Dune" parody. Instead of "spice" its cinnamon. And I'm pretty sure, in the books, the guy that becomes in control of everything becomes a giant worm or something. Always thought this episode was just a random story as a kid, but now I see what they were doing there.
