Exclusive advance screening! "Don't Let Go"
Added 2020-12-29 18:52:40 +0000 UTCHello guys! I finally made it, I finished editing this video and you are the first to watch it before anyone else! The official premiere will be at 12pm (Mexico Time) next Thursday 31st.
I shared with you a demo of this cover months ago. I considered including it on "All Systems Go" but couldn't finish the production on time the way I wanted. It's a cover of the classic country song "Don't Let Go" written by Jesse Stone, but in the style of the 70's Isaac Hayes redo.
UPDATE: There's a new video, I uploaded a few hours ago, the link has changed. I decided to record again all the brass section and some string hits to avoid the claim I told you about, so the new version is slightly different to what you heard on the advance. This next paragraph was the one were I explained that:
Fun fact: I've been so faithful in reproducing here and there the original sounds of Mr. Hayes' version that this video with my recording has been claimed as if it were the original deal... go figure!
In any case, I don't think I'll release this elsewhere. But you'll have a clean mp3 of the song just for you in here shortly (had to do for the video an intro and put some sound fx here and there). I was joined on the video by Brandon White (search for him on iTunes or Spotify, he's been releasing some interesting stuff) and Farit Abdala. Jose did the camera work, and I did all the editing and image trickery.
The premiere is on Youtube Thursday 31st 12pm GMT -6. After that a live broadcast and chat to say farewell to 2020.
