Patreon, Space Force Episode 2 and future plans

Given this change it seems like a good chance to make at least one public friendly post to catch you up on progress, set out my vision, and give an update on Space Force Episode 2. There is lots to say so strap yourself in, this may be a long post!

Let’s start with the big one, Acidbubble’s masterful Timeline plugin, this is huge for me. It has revolutionised how I make scenes, so I have been learning how to use it effectively for future Space Force episodes. It means I can realise the scenes I've had in my mind in a level of detail that would never have been possible before, so I've had to completely re calibrate how high I can aim in my ambitions to make the sexiest scenes possible. To keep the quality consistent it has meant converting all of Episode 1 to Timeline, which I have done and the results are amazing. The sex scenes now flow much more nicely with far fewer loading screens and greater immersion all around.

Next up is the clothing, I have built new versions that fix some annoying glitches the original space uniforms had, particularly the weird occlusion problems. I have also had a very kind offer of new completely bespoke clothing, which I hope to also include at some point in the future. I have had several other kind offers of help so I hope to have custom sounds and music at some point too.

Episode 1 has had countless other updates and refinements since the original release to make as solid a base as I can to build future episodes, with minimal loading and maximum immersion. I expect there will be more refinements I want to make with the imminent release of VAM 1.20 too. The script has had some minor updates since some lines from an early draft managed to sneak their way in. Apologies for that, and I hope the new version will make up for it!

The script for Episode 2 has been near complete for some time, but I want to rewrite the start as it doesn’t yet have the tone I want to convey. I wanted to get this done much sooner but I also don’t want to release anything that isn’t ready for prime time.

In the meantime I have been working on future episodes, the scripts for Episodes 3, 4 and 6 have all got a solid grounding, and many further episodes have either got good outlines or I know exactly how they will go already.

I have known since the start that around Episode 6 I will need some custom environment assets built. I have a very specific vision for how this series of scenes will go so it has to be spot on. I was going to commission some work but I honestly don’t think I can adequately convey what I want and whatever is built is bound to fall short of my precise vision. For this reason I am learning Unity and how to build assets so I can make the environment myself. Progress has been very good, but there will be no pictures or spoilers until the episode is released. Rest assured you won’t see it coming and I have every intention that it will blow your mind :)
