Micchi Update -Series End-

Hello, violent delinquent fans! 

As of chapter 142, the series has officially come to its conclusion, but Micchi's story isn't over yet.

Going forward, I want to develop a manga or webtoon out of Micchi. I've always felt it would do better as a visual medium given its excessive combat. It wouldn't be a 1:1 adaptation or remake. The comic version would be closer to a side canon, expanding Micchi's adventures to explore more delinquent slapstick shenanigans, revisiting iconic scenes and characters, and fixing continuity issues the written version had while providing better world building. Inevitably, the plot would follow in the same way as the series.

Attached are illustration commissions (previously posted here in the past) from Chihiro, the artist whom I've been going to for this series' art. The sketch is Ririko Minami currently a WIP. Unfortunately, they probably can't do the manga because background art isn't their strong suit, and I need an artist who can do both. I might just have Chihiro do the character sheets to use as reference for the next artist.

Chances are a Micchi manga or webtoon will see a Kickstarter, because making such a thing is very expensive. I'm not an artist, so it would fall to someone who is capable. Not to mention, to continue paying them to provide regular updates and stay with the project long-term, as well as higher fees/dues to the artist for commercial rights.

There will probably be questions why the Micchi story and not Hero Succubus, the more popular one that I imagine most people are subscribed to me for. The reason is r-18 content is a lot harder to distribute to audiences for mass consumption. Micchi has almost no erotic content and pushes the upper limit of the shounen genre. Commissioning lewd stuff also happens to be significantly more expensive.

That said, I also have plans to make a Hero Succubus manga, too. Although, it would be much shorter and a one-shot like ero doujins.

Thank you everyone for following Micchi's journey! I had a lot of fun writing an isekai setting getting hammered by delinquents that can't be reasoned with.
