They actually did have a malfunction when the explosives went off so the jokers reaction was totally improvised. Glad they go that in one take though cause I couldn't imagine doing that again lol.

It was the first time she saw heath in the full joker costume and him doing the knife To her was not part of it. She was actually terrified. 2, if you watch the justice league watch the Snyder cut the way the movie was intended
