Earth has lava, metal, and sand. Air has spiritual projection, flight, and can create a vacuum within a person's lungs to suffocate people(not a sub-skill persay, used by the previous airbending Avatar)

2023-03-29 06:07:41 +0000 UTCThe were three instances where we saw people bend lava in The Last Airbender. All of them where avatars in the avatar state. There's no reason to assume Roku used fire for that, he was fully realized avatar.

2023-03-29 05:38:02 +0000 UTCLavabending is not a sub bending of fire. It is a specialized sub-skill of earthbending that allows the user to manipulate molten earth. Basically like what waterbenders can do with ice and water.

And not a spoiler, since it was shown earlier this season - Khazan is an earthbender, so lavabending is something you can do with earth but Roku in the first season of Avatar showed us that you could also lavabend with firebending, so it looks like its possible for either.
