If you look closely when chozen confronts daniel at the ice breaking place, chozen is with the guy who invited Kumiko and daniel to the dance a few minutes earlier. From this we can infer that the guy went and told chozen that danial was out with kumiko alone. Also Daniel doesn't have a girl back home. He said in the beginning that Ali crashed his car and she also fell in love with some guy at UCLA and left daniel for him. He says so at 13:02

You should watch the 3rd movie asap really. There was already 1 reference to the 3rd movie in season 1 in the episode were johnny tries to get cobra kai unbanned. The reason cobra kai is banned is because of the events of the 3rd movie. Not huge lore but definitely relevant and the references only continue and become more and more necessary.

Yeah no doubt, I am a Jackie Chan fanatic so anything he's in, is good to me. Although, Don is watching Cobra Kai and that show has no relationship to the 2010 movie. It's in a completely different universe! So I don't understand why people are pushing Don to watch it. I mean, If he watches it after all of this is over that's no problem... But the lore of the Karate kid movies is embedded in the lore of the Cobra Kai show. So when people say... "You don't need to watch the movies until this season or that season" That's like saying you don't need to watch the first harry potter to understand the 4th harry potter film. That's just stupid to me. Embed you heart in the original lore and you will heavily enjoy the Cobra Kai show in all its glory. After that you can explore other versions of the idea...aka Jaden Smiths/Jackie chan's modern version.

...yeah so you're point is null and void lmao, the action is literally their ONLY selling point for the newer one, and its arguably still worse than the og....in terms of EVERYTHING else, it was just a worse version of the original movie "paint the fence" becomes "pick up the jacket" etc etc, a classic case of "you can copy, but change it up a bit so ppl dont know"....its just objectively worse, because they had to come up with alternative chores to train with, which means they were by default looking for the 2nd best options, and that happened for essentially every scene of the movie the remake was to get a newer gen into karate kid, it wasnt better in any way to the original, you're very much in the minority if you believe otherwise....and it has nothing to do with nostalgia, this is coming from someone who watched the original series when the new movie came out, then watched that.....so i watched them back to back, i had literally 0 attachment to the original series prior
