2024-12-29 18:56:17 +0000 UTCYou're right. in normal/regular Bibles that most of us read Uriel is never referred to as an angel or archangel, he's identified as the guardian of Eden if I remember correctly, but in most other traditions such as Anglican, post exilic and russian orthodox traditions he is mentioned as 1 of the 7 archangels, just as in some traditions Lucifer is never considered an archangel/angel of the highest rank. instead he is considered as a cherub which makes no sense so i like going with the one that he is archangel. also in some books, it's said that there are 7 archangels in total, in some books only 3-4 are mentioned and named as archangels but the ones that are always consistent are Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. So yeah, long story short, it's up to each of us what tradition we gonna take at heart and if we're gonna place Uriel as archangel or not. Personally I like goin with Supernatural series theory and just say only 4 Michael, Lucifer, Gabriel and Raphael are actual archangels.

Watched this show when it came out and now watching it again and I never understood why they decided to make up a fake Angel by the name of Amenadiel and portray him as God's favorite son. Everyone who knows even a bit about this stuff, know that Lucifer was God's favorite son and his right hand angel, that's why Lucifer got jealous and angry when God created humas his new toys/children. That's why Lucifer rebelled and got cast out of Heaven into Hell. Amenadiel doesn't even exist in traditional sense of religious texts. Some of the most powerful Archangels were Uriel, Raphael, Lucifer, Gabriel and Michael bein the strongest of them all. Might be nit pick but it bothered me that they had to create a whole new fictional character with so many lore that exists in the real word.
