That is funny, because Stefan is a calculated manipulative liar! He breezes into town, stalks Elena for months, lies to her about what he is, when she finds out he lies about his past, pretending that he has been a pure saint for 150 years while Damon has been a monster the entire time. Manipulates her feelings getting her to cling to and rely on him while she is still grieving and needs something to cling too, and continues to lie to her about Katherine. That is just barely scratching the surface! I think you are the 1st person to recognize/acknowledge that Tyler was trying to protect Vicky from his parents by ignoring her when he was at the bar with them, and keeping her outside at the founders party! I get the moment in the bathroom between Elena and Caroline was meant to be a heroic moment of Elena realizing that Damon was hurting Caroline, but to me Elena was being pushy and ignoring Caroline's boundaries and protests and just pulling her clothes down to expose bite marks that we know was a vampire feeding on his prey, but could have just been some kinky shit that they were into where Elena after harassing Caroline then proceeds to kin shame her.

That's what really sold me on S3, and I *love* the addition of the characters played by Arden Cho and Tom Choi.
