I dont think it is that great that Stefan could tell the difference and Damon couldn't, because Stefan has been intimate with Elena and would know her touch, but Damon has not and it has been almost 150 years since he had been near Katherine, so how would he know the difference? Also, more self righteous hypocrisy from Stefan, putting his nose between Elena's relationship with her biological father. Not to mention, I hope u remember him forcing his blood in John's system here as a threat, because later he acts like that is so inappropriate when Damon does it to try and save Elena at the end of the season...
