There has been zero credible evidence provided over the decades that this rumor has persisted that Julie Plec (the show runner) disliked Kat Graham (Bonnie) in general or because of racist reasons. The only comment Kat Graham has ever made regarding anything like this is that she wished she could’ve worn her natural hair and that is it. It really bothers me that you guys filled his head with these unsubstantiated gossipy accusations because it’s going to affect how he reacts to the show moving forward. If you wanted to tell him this stuff when the show was over that’s one thing but now you’ve basically given him an insight on your reasons why certain things are done and not only that, but I don’t think you guys even realize that you basically spoiled him on potential developments moving forward with her character by saying the very specific things that you said to him. It should also be pointed out that there is zero credible evidence to suggest that Ian Somerhalder (Damon) ever threatened to quit to preserve Kat Graham‘s job. The only producer that’s even mentioned the story says that it was to deal with a character that isn’t Bonnie and had nothing to do with racism. I think fans misconstrue things because often times two things can be true at once. There were definitely times over a long run on a show like the vampire diaries where it’s possible that the idea came up of killing Bonnie and it’s possible that Ian Somerhalder went to bat to keeping her on the show and Ian Somerhalder and Kat were also really close and probably wanted to continue to work together, but there’s absolutely no verifiable evidence whatsoever that there was any kind of racism involved or that Ian Somerhalder had to threaten to walk if Kat Graham left.

Her "ex" stalked her, lied to her emotionally manipulated and groomed her when she was still deep in grief over thr death of her parents. Then left her, strung her along while telling her to stay away and move on, then returned and still was not with her, so as a single girl, she was free to heal from him and move on, and it really isn't his business who that was with.

Elena, on the other hand, plays one brother against the other. She lets them fight over her and doesn’t stop it. She keeps switching back and forth, and it causes more damage. Toxic.. Caroline is one of the very few people who can put Klaus in his place and live to tell the tale. By the way, I absolutely love the amount of sarcasm on this show. Shot after shot been fired. 😂
