2025-09-01 17:22:02 +0000 UTCOmg i love a particular scene in this ep very much plz Forgive the incoming yap, im too passionate about this scene, not to give my 2 cents about it on here. The scene between cami and Klaus is one of my fav scenes of the show. Its the scene that really made me realize this show was not playin around. The acting from both actors was magnanimously breathtaking. The scene displayed a multitude of layers for Klaus’s character. It reveals his twisted way of thinking and what he considers doing good & helping his family is. It also shows a side of klaus we barely see, a side that shows care and compassion towards another (cami). But my favorite and probably the most overlooked layer showing in that scene (at least for me) is…if you pay attention to Joseph Morgans acting when he consoles cami mid-compulsion he says the lines “you will dream of a world far better than this one, a world where there is no evil, no demons, and all people desire only to be good” Joseph Morgan’s voice even trembles and cuts out to a whisper by the end of the line as his eyes well with tears as it communicates desperation. This to me showed Klaus’s yearning and a longing in his eyes as if to tell us that deep down under all the paranoia, insecurities, evil machinations, quests for power etc. That very world (the world with no evil and only good people) is actually what Klaus secretly wants and wishes for. To me the scene allowed us to peak with a small scope into klaus’s inner most deepest thoughts buried within his psyche and showed us his fatigue of this exhausting life of constantly being feared and creating endless enemies i.e resulting in his inevitable loneliness, and in that intimate moment with cami it revealed to us the deeply buried GOOD Klaus. It displayed for a brief tiny moment that the Klaus who whittled for his sister to cheer her up is still very much in there somewhere deep down.❤️ The way J.Morgan played that scene was everything to me. Kudos to that man 👏👏. It changed how I viewed Klaus forever in this show. From simply a badass Evil character to a damaged, traumatized, and self destructive character who copes by being evil and sort of “plays” that part due to crippling insecurities, fear and paranoia but deep down, desperately wants to be free of it all and actually wants to live in a world with no demons, no evil and where people around him aspire….. “Only to be good”. Insane Acting💪👏👍
