I couldn't tell if you figured this out later in this episode, and I don't know if you learned later on, but, at 15:00 that wasn't right after the royal family incident. He killed the royal family 5 years ago the night the wall fell, that flashback was 20 years ago. He was looking for the royal family for 15 years. Grisha gave Eren the power of the titans the night the wall fell. I honestly don't know why you thought it was right after the royal family massacre when he said this was 20 years ago and it was that he killed them 5 years ago, lol.
