UNEDITED EXCLUSIVE: Doctor Who Season 7 Episode 12 REACTION!

God I hate this episode actually... Matt Smith does his best but it just doesn't work for me at all and the kids are DREADFUL, especially the girl.

Are you going to react to An Adventure In Space & Time? It should probably be watched before Day of The Doctor (although the order doesn't really matter that much).

First time seeing it, I did not. Really iffy acting, and also the 'mystery wrapped in an enigma squeezed into a skirt just a little too tight' is probably the worst of Moffat's writing women. Blegh

It wasm't so much re-written as heavily edited down due to the original script being un-filmable on a Doctor Who budget. The fact that by this point, Moffat was very busy with the 50th anniversary, meant that he had essentially no time to actually work with Gaiman on the episode as he had with "The Doctor's Wife". This is also why Clara's character is rather off, as some last minute changes had been made to her character and no one got around to updating the script.

I found the kids a lot less irritating this time around.

'I was just memeing' I lol'd :p With regards to the cybermen: when we have seen them before in nu-Who, they've been relatively new. These Cybermen are the remnants of a more developed cyber race, who have upgraded their way through a prolonged, galactic scale war.

Yessss! I’m so excited for next week! I know you like to watch some classic Who between seasons, but be sure to watch the 2 specials (and minisode) after the finale! They’re all thematically ties together - hence the similar title names.

I think second half of series 7 suffered from both writers and viewers having to get used to new companion, especially after such a strong TARDIS team with The Doctor and The Ponds.

Neil Gaiman disowned this due to it having been re-written so much, from what I remember reading. It's better than I remember. Warwick Davis was a surprise, I had no idea he was that good an actor, but really liked him in this. Clara didn't seem right in this, though.

This episode has a bunch of great ideas and a lot of fun parts, but it never came together properly. It's basically another victim of Series 7's troubled production. Shame, since it's one of the two scripts Neil Gaiman's made for the show.
