UNEDITED EXCLUSIVE: Doctor Who Season 8 Episode 2 REACTION!

Can we just talk about how this was legit a throwback to frickin 9? Like the Dalek said "You are a good Dalek." and back with 9 and Rose, in the episode Dalek, THAT Dalek said "You would make a good Dalek." HOLY SH*T HE ACTUALLY JUST MADE A GOOD DALEK (almost)!!!

I like the new opening. The new intro was inspired by a fan who did multiple versions. The oooWeeeOooo portion of the new theme is too high pitched. Would've been better at a much lower octive. The rest sounds fine.

The title sequence was designed by a fan. Moffat saw it, liked it, convinced the BBC to buy/license it in order to use it. I don’t love it, my favorite remains season 5

Hey Andrew, everyone likes what they like. But Do you mind if I ask about Clara? Every companion has people who don’t like them, but with Clara it isn’t all for the same reason. I’m not trying to convince you otherwise, just really curious.

I really like the title sequence - I wasn't sure about it at first, but it grew on me. Great reaction - and I think this may be one to revisit once you get to know his doctor a bit more.

This is one of my favourite episodes from this series. I love how abrasive the Doctor is and the interactions between Clara and the Doctor really start to set up their relationship well i think

Many will disagree, I'm sure, but for me I don't really think 12 seems to work as the Doctor until season 10. There are a few good episodes here and there (one bad story and one absolute disaster of a story) but seasons 8 and 9 all just seems to be a bit beige to me. I really struggled to accept the 12th Doctor until season 10. I love Peter Capaldi, it's not him I couldn't accept. The stories just seemed to forget to tell a story. The character Missy is just proving a SJW point. Oh, and this is where I begin to fall out of love with Clara. She said herself that her story was done in 'The Name of the Doctor', so why does she stay so long and become so opinionated? As I said, I know there are those who will disagree. If you enjoy this and the next season, I'm happy for you. It just didn't work for me.

The episode does a good job in putting across the message that 12 is a darker (perhaps more complex?),more self-doubting Doctor than his immediate predecessors. The high-concept 'fantastic voyage' storyline also works well,imo

When I first saw this I felt it was pre-occupied with showing the audience there could be a good Dalek, and that took priority over any sense of story or adventure. In hindsight it's probably a stepping stone to help build this Doctor's character, but not really one I revisit.

I wonder where all this “am I a good man” talk is coming from. He just spent centuries defending Christmas on Trenzalore. It’s perfectly fine as an episode, not terrible, not great, rewatchable for sure but not memorable.

Yeah this one is a weird one, it's a good episode with a great concept and solid performances but for some reason something doesn't quite click. It is better on a rewatch once you understand more about Twelve.

There were a number of leaks at the beginning of S8. These included full episodes 1-3 months in advance & scripts to those episodes. I never wanted to watch the episodes in leaked form but I couldn't resist the scripts. The script to this episode ends in a dramatic way than it does on screen. When the Doctor says to Rusty "Of course you have unfinished work to do" he understands Rusty's intentions and he promptly boards the Dalek ship and self destructs killing all on board but it never made the final cut.

Can't say I was a fan of this one, but then it usually takes an episode or two for the new Doctor to settle in. I did like his monologue about how "The Doctor" was just a name until he met the Daleks. Not a fan of the new intro, it was based on a fan made intro.
