Warriors and fatties: A fantasy attempt (2 of 2)
Added 2020-10-12 02:50:00 +0000 UTCLet's go to the LORD OF THE RINGS aftermath, circa 2002 and 2003. I was thrilled with the Peter Jackson's adaptation of THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. Longtime reader of the book's trilogy, as well of all other Tolkien's books.
So, the idea of having a group of warriors going after a common threat -a fattening threat- was in the air after the 2001 movie... I decide to throw all my ideas into the pot: mixing a bit of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS and B-Classics like THE BEASTMASTER and of course masterpieces like CONAN THE BARBARIAN.
All these pages are just unfinished and unrelated attempts to pull together those ideas. Never got to finish more than one or two pages each time. Some of them are related, some others are random fantasy stuff. It will be presented through 2 sets.

It's funny when you have to ttanslate: some word-playings you cannot find the proper translation. In this case, the Queen Diosamante (who means Diosa 'Goddess' and Amante "Lover", altogether). And when fat she changed her name for Bola-Mantek (being Bola "Ball" and Mantek, a wordplay for Manteca, "Butter"). Of course it also rhymes in Spanish: Diosamante with Bola-Mantek, so I came up with Goddesslova and GoddessBlobba as translations. I believe they certainly work for this.
