that pun is... oh boy π you already have seen "honest apple", you now how the total truth can hurt someone... It is a show originally for 4-6 year old kids - to talk about dead parents isn't a good topic in any way at that point - still its been 6 years since season 1... so most viewer were 10-12 at that time in season 7... π and "Hey Arnold" was aimed at teens i think...

2024-09-16 17:30:20 +0000 UTCA deeper episode than meets the eyes and I donβt mean derpyβs π₯ I do like how you put their dynamic and history together as it does explain why they both are they way you are. I also like that exploration of applejack, being right but inconsiderate. I didnβt really see Macβs talking as a bad thing so it just seemed like AJ was really stubborn and trying to be be right to prove she was responsible. Thereβs just a lot of ways that applejack hasnβt really grown on me or well. Or maybe thatβs the point that the way she is can be too rude even if it right or honest. Yes it seems they will continue to ignore the parents which is unfortunate and would also play a role in their development. Honestly I have no idea. Itβs quite odd to not even have a mention of them besides βif mom and dad were hereβ back when applebloom got her cutie mark (I think). Hey Arnold wasnβt afraid to linger and put into question this deeper theme of potentially deceased parents so itβs a shame MLP hasnβt done so thus far. Still have 2.5 seasons so thereβs still time π€

Apple Bloom: "What could you possibly know about it? You've never told a lie in your whole life!" - yeah! You are the element of honesty... so how do you now? Granny Smith: "Oh-ho, sugarcube. [laughing] Your big sister lied so much when she was a filly, the whole family ended up in the hospital." π¨ - turns out Applejack wasn't as innocent as she seemed to be all the time. Filthy Rich: "Just Rich, please. And I'd you to meet my fiancΓ©e, Spoiled Milk. Honey, this is Applejack and Big Mac, the two hardest workin' ponies at Sweet Apple Acres." Spoiled Milk: "You work on a farm? How... quaint." Filthy Rich: "[chuckles] Oh, now, dear, be nice. Sweet Apple Acres makes zap apple jam. It's one of Dad's best-sellers." - Her name is Spoiled Milk? Uhhh, talk about hating your child to name it like that. π That was bound to end in a questionable character. π Young Applejack: "Ya know what? How 'bout we give you three barrels of cider early, and if it sells well, we'll make a deal for the rest?" - is it a good deal though? Aren't they getting more money by selling it directly? And whether it's me runnin' Sweet Apple Acres or you, I know it'll be in good hooves." - So wholesome π₯° AJ is indeed prideful and stubborn sometimes, but most times she is also kind of right, but not considerate about the effects of her honesty to others... Granny Smith: "Now, who here still wants to hear about the apple blight?" - its funny how everyone is too afraid to say something against her π "Applejack: It's not a story I'm proud of, but it taught me a lifelong lesson about bein' honest. I hope you learned somethin', too." Apple Bloom: "I learned that nopony starts out perfect and sometimes you gotta make a few mistakes to figure out who you are." - yeah indeed, but this is by far no free ticket to do it willy-nilly Apple Bloom: "But I think the most important thing I learned is who really runs Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Big McIntosh: "Granny!" - Eeyup! --- In this Apple-family-centric episode, we gain intriguing insights into Applejack's and Big Mac's past, shedding light on their personal growth and development.
