Try switching out the e's for a's. It's just an unfortunate case of transliteration, but it does make it pretty hard for me to take that name seriously. Nostalgia plays a role too, of course. My first exposure to One Piece was the English dub, and the second was the English manga, both of which use Eneru. It was probably years before I heard him called anything else.

When i watched One Piece for the first time i watched it with Fan Subs, and in those fan subs they used the spelling "Enel" for the name of the God of Skypea which is the other most popular way to call him, and well... Enel is the name i have always used for him even if i know "Eneru" is technically the correct one. I don't know... i just think Enel comes more easy to the tongue as well as sounding better (in my opinion), but you can call him however you want Mikey.

Also, I'm really glad these subs went with Eneru. I've heard him also referred to as "Enel" before and, uh, that's a bit too close to another word for me to be comfortable with. XD
