You know... i remember the plot of this episode and what happens in it pretty clearly... but i had totally forgotten it's title, i thought "Pool Hopping? what is this?" xddd. I really like this episode because i feel like Garnet's character has been very..... Static for a long time, the last time i felt her character was going somewhere and being developed... it's way back in Season 2. And don't get me wrong... Static characters in media are not necessarily a bad thing, they can definetely work given the right circumstances, but it's true that Season 3 and 4 felt very deliberately focused on the progress and developed of the rest of the Crystal Gems... like Steven, Pearl, Amethyst and Peridot (Lapis too but she's technically not a Crystal Gem). Garnet has been a static character ever since the beginning of the show, and that's fine because unlike the rest of her peers, she doesn't need to go through all of this emotional and psycological struggles... she already had herself figured out from the start. But even so it is still nice to see her break her usual calm and collected demeanor, to remind us that she's not the perfect and secure being she always portrays herself to be. Garnet will always be my least favorite of the Crystal Gems.... but that doesn't mean i don't love her too.
