Also... YES, the outro of this epilogue is very good, very SOOTHING and calming. I recommend that you listen to it whenever you can, it will keep growing on you.

Without going into spoiler territory the one thing i can say about this epilogue series is that i absolutely love it, for me it is on the same level of quality as Season 3 of the original show (and curiously enough... Rebecca Sugar had very little involvement in the making of it). Not surprised you loved Peridot in the intro... everyone loved it. Fans were craving for the longest time for Peridot to have 2 things... First it was the Crystal Gem's Star symbol on her design... which eventually happened on the Season 5 finale. And second... that she would be included in the intro, and believe me that a lot of us were very frustrated when seasons of the original show kept going and going and we never got an updated version of the intro with Peridot in it. At least they did they deliver on this right at the end xdd. I love that the first episode of this epilogue gets straight to the point and tackles the situation of Jasper's character, because yeah... she got corrupted before the whole conflict with the Diamonds and homeworld got resolved and she still had anger and hatred towards Steven and the Gems when they poofed her so.... it makes sense that she wouldn't just accept the new status quo even after explaining everything. I also kinda love that she has somewhat stayed true to her convictions, she is a fighter in body and soul so it makes sense that she wouldn't be comfortable living so peacefully alongside the other gems in Little Homeworld (or in any other Gem colony). Her whole life has been conflict and fighting and she dedicated herself to the image of "Pink Diamond" as well as destroying the Rebellious Rose Quartz who was the reason that she had to fight inmeadiately after emerging from the ground. But now she has to confront the reality that it was all a farse, her battles and devotion were basically pointless....... so it is no wonder why she decided to isolate herself. Jasper's character has always been so fascinating to me, she's the only character that has consistently stayed as an "Antagonist" (even tho she's no longer actively against the Crystal Gems), not even White Diamond or Spinel (who a lot of fans thought were going to be pure evil) stayed as Antagonists for long. And because of that she has gained a lot of my respect weirdly enough... In a series full of characters who advocate for peace, love and tolerance.... it is kinda nice to have one character that does not align with that mentality.... a very odd breath of fresh air so to speak.

So this whole entire epilogue is one where it’s hard to talk about certain aspects of a lot of it without the context of later episodes… with that in mind, my comments will be shorter for a while so I don’t accidentally edge towards any spoilers. I can ramble to my heart’s content on character and lore stuff later, lol. The music absolutely DOES do work here, I adore the little action piece that crops up when Steven goes pink in that Jasper fight. It’s got such a fun chiptune funk. Also, the professor Amethyst bit always makes me laugh- her lesson plan being “eh, just do whatever you want for an hour” is so delightfully on brand for her. I agree with the sentiment you gave, in not yet being used to older Steven at this point, ahah- it’s kinda strange, because when I first watched the movie and the first few episodes of this epilogue series it WAS a huge whiplash, hearing his VA deliver lines in a far more mature voice, but now I actually feel MORE whiplash going back to the original show. XD
