Survivalist Chapter 1

Okay guys, I know this isn't what you were looking for. I'm about half done with the next chapter of Sense and I finally realized why it's been so hard for me to write these chapters: politics. I kinda hate them. So as I was attempting to fall asleep tonight, my brain, as it's wont to do, started straying on a tangent that suddenly made me wide awake, and hence... Survivalist was born. Something new to try and get my creative juices flowing again. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning Sense, and I'll try to get the rest of the chapter written after I finally get some sleep.

So yeah, no, I'm not set on the name Survivalist. The original name I was toying with is Barren World, but that just kinda sounded ominous to me. I am curious if this actually is interesting enough to hook y'all, since you know, I wrote it after 2am and my brain feels a little fuzzy. Anyway, happy new month! Cuz apparently it's now 4am into August. So I wanted to say thank you for support, and I'll try to do better. You guys are amazing.

Last note: one of my business friends died two days ago in a freak paragliding accident. He was a super amazing guy, only a little older than I am. And it got me thinking about why I started writing again in the first place: I was reminded of my mortality and that I shouldn't put off doing things, because life can be short. So cherish every day. His family made a request in his memory: perform a random act of kindness. So I'll share that with you. Tell someone today that you love them, because you never know how long you have with them, and do something nice for some random person. Doesn't have to be big. Maybe just let that jerk over into your lane without grumbling. :P Okay. Early morning ramble over. Peace!
