Hello beautiful people!

I want to apologize first and foremost for my lack of communication for the past month. I was trying very, very hard to finish the next episode of Copaganda before the end of 2023, and ended up getting myself sick and burned out. Just another reason to hate Law & Order.

I took a little time to reset myself and reassess how I’m going to strike a better work/life balance, which included waiting until this week to do my year-end list stuff. You’ll be getting my usual routine this week!

Later this month, I’ll be releasing a two-part episode about Law & Order, which is my longest video to date (rivaled only by PAW Patrol). You’ve already seen my conversations with Rhiannon and Olay that I’ll be referencing throughout the two-parter but there’s a lot of other stuff in there.

The first part will take a look at the history of Law & Order, the way it (and our criminal legal system) have an assumption of guilt, and what happens to your rights when the system makes that assumption. This is the bulkiest part of the episode, meant to kind of give you a template to look at any rights through the criminal legal system, using Miranda Rights as a case study.

After we’ve established the way it does so, the second part will be more of a lightning round of rights and how Law & Order normalizes cops and prosecutors trampling them.

I’m really excited and proud of this episode. I’m sorry for the delay but I think it’s going to be worth it.
