Month pinup - Cancelled

Hello guys, I'm very sorry to make this announcement, I did tried everything I could but failed. The TL:DR version is: my tablet is out of commission until I buy a repair cable, and a backup tablet will take way too long to arrive. Also police almost arrested me because they thought I ran a cocaine store online lol.

Now, while the TL:DR version may sound like nothing, it's been a lot of things that leaded up to this point. 

This month I've been extremely delayed with artwork, June was pretty uneventful and set me back in commissions, but I could never have guessed what was to come in July. 

So putting aside my episodes of depression (As you know, I have schizophrenia and it's why I created this Patreon, pretty much to be able to afford all my medical bills).  

Early this month there was a narco raid in my home. And yeah when I say narco I mean those stereotypical Mexican drug lords with guns.

So turns out that the downstairs neighbour was not only a cocaine dealer, but also had enough AK-47 to take over my local town if she wanted. Normally this wouldn't have affected me, yeah they shot my house but since all the business was with the person living under, I shouldn't been effected, right? wrong, despite the fact that I wasn't home when this happened, the police raided my apartment, they broke in, made a mess of my stuff, and they even wanted to take me in because they saw my desk with like 3 monitors 2 computers (one of them from like 2002 lol) and their Sherlock instinct was: Ok so this guy sells the cocaine online, "He even got one of those CSI hacker screens" I quote. It was a terminal running a backup of my hard drive onto that 2002 computer that I use just for storage. So yeah a dozen lines saying :Copying file from source to destination. sure does sound like a safe cocaine online store. 

Wish it had ended there but turns out the police stole a bunch of stuff from me, from small tech gadgets like cables, to more expensive stuff like my Nintendo, cameras, etc. Among the stuff they stole was an old charger for my laptop that no longer worked so I didn't cared at the time. 

In short, nothing I need to work was taken, my Surface (the tablet I use to draw) was with me, along with the new charger I had. That's all I need to get back on my feet. A bonus was that my main workstation wasn't stolen, go figure perhaps the size? 

So of course my family came to visit me, help me with some basic repairs, while I was literally suing the police for stealing my stuff (Still am). Of course the police director pulled an "you can't prove we stole your stuff" to which I replied with "you can't prove you didn't, you have 5 witnesses who saw nobody but the cops enter my appointment, the documents that would proof your innocence such as a list of confiscated stuff are non existent" yada yada a whole world of bureaucracy and me yelling at ppl who wear a gun on the side. 

The police also had the guts to steal my prescription meds along some money I had saved. 

The lack of my meds set me back from working a few days until I saved enough money to buy a replacement and boy they are fucking expensive, but the bureaucratic process for my insurance to cover them for me will take about a month. 

So everything was going good, I was delayed with commissions and Patreon but I could at least get the Patreon pinup in time. 

Wrong. 

I am house-training a dog that I just took from the street no more than a month ago, and while her progress has been amazing, and I would normally wouldn't leave her alone near cables while I'm not home, my mind was busy thinking about paperwork and my legal fight. So it was disheartening when I got home and saw my Surface charger chewed up. 

No biggie there are solutions, I thought. 

a) "I'll just use a paperclip to make my old charger work"

wrong police took it. 

b) "I'll order a new one from Amazon"

Well this comes with two problems, 1) I used all my savings buying replacement medicine, 2) Amazon day just went by which makes the shipment of any new order start next Wednesday, so even if I had the money for a new charger I wont be getting it till next Friday. 

And unfortunately since Surface is not officially sold on Mexico yet, there aren't many local retailers where I can get it, that to say the 20 or so stores I contacted had no chargers in stock. 

c) Well, I lend my old Cintiq to a friend, I'll ask him if he can lend me that or another tablet just so I can work on. Well turns out that shipping will take days and he had to send me a small entry-level Intuos because well, Would you send a Cintiq trough DHL? the Intuos should work fine, it's a new model so it should allow me to keep my line-work quality once I work around drawing on a smaller device. 

So in other words, no matter how stressed I am and how willing I am to force myself to draw, I have no means of working. 

I'll be writing an email shortly to my commissioners, to which I am sorry because I'm already month's delayed. 

I cannot think of any work around guys, I'm sorry if this post came as a bit of a rant tbh I am quite defeated at this entire situation.

I want to hear from you guys what should I do regarding the upcoming pledges? 

I think the best solution is to pause the pledges so you guys aren't charged in August. 

Or I could just let them run, and deliver 2 pinups next month. 

I'm very sorry guys, if you remove your pledge because you are unable to pay for the next pledge, do send me a DM or an email, because I do believe you're entitled to this month pinup (since you already paid) In which case once it is completed I would be emailing it to you!
