Animations?!

I've been messing around with animations in Ren'Py and I've sorted out subtle breathing and blinking for the character sprites. The example you see here is just a constructed GIF and may play too fast on your browser, but I've worked out how to make the breathing seem natural in the game and how to randomize the blinking so that it's not weirdly regular. Actually I think it looks really good in-game and I'm eager to hear what you guys and gals think once you see it.

Of course, I've also started applying animations to the sexytimes!

Yeah, I agree that full idle animations would be nice, but then we're getting into Live2D territory and that's a ton of work for every outfit+emotion combo. I'll add some minor movement all-around and see how that turns out. But I'm a bit concerned that anything much more might be distracting.

Technically very nice. That said, the utter stillness of her arms, head and posture makes it somewhat artificial. My personal opinion is that if you are going to go this route, you should probably go all the way with some head sway and arm swing. Otherwise it doesn't look right to me.
